Volunteer Information
The Shakopee Derby Days Committee would like to say thank you to everybody who volunteered with Derby Days in 2009 and we hope to see you back with us in 2010. At the same time, we would also like to take this opportunity to invite any new volunteers to get involved with Derby Days 2010.
Volunteering with Shakopee Derby Days is a way for interested individuals to give back to their community, get out, and meet new people. Volunteer commitment can be as short as a few hours, to as long as the entire weekend.
There are numerous ways for you or your group or organization to get involved with the 2010 Shakopee Derby Days festival. These opportunities range from one-time tasks to ongoing commitments.
Specific Needs
The Shakopee Derby Days Committee is currently looking for individuals interested in volunteering during Shakopee Derby Days weekend, Aug. 4 – 8, 2010.
Areas that will be in need of volunteer help mainly relate to on-site logistics: gate patrol, set-up and take-down of equipment, and distribution of event schedules. A few events are also in need of volunteer help, such as the Cash Bingo and the 5K Turf Run.
Minimum age restrictions apply to certain volunteer positions.
