Shakopee Derby Days Committee Seeks Committee Members, Event Ideas
The Shakopee Derby Days Committee is seeking volunteers to chair or coordinate certain aspects of the Shakopee Derby Days festival, as well as serve on committees. Shakopee Derby Days is organized and run by an independent, all-volunteer non-profit organization. The 25th annual Shakopee Derby Days will be held Aug. 1-5, 2012.
Particular areas in need of assistance include: soapbox derby event chair; logistics help; fundraising committee; and publicity committee. The Shakopee Derby Days Committee also seeks people who would like to propose and chair new events at the Derby Days festival. The Shakopee Derby Days Committee will hold its annual membership meeting on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Shakopee Community Center. New members are welcome.
