The Wild Rose Cloggers

The Wild Rose Cloggers will be performing at Shakopee Derby Days 2009. They will be clog dancing with crowd interaction and instruction.

Clogging is a dance that originated in the Appalachian Mountain area. People of different nationalities gathered around a fire and danced the steps from their home countries. The various steps merged into clogging. It was brought to Minnesota in the 1970's.

The Wild Rose Cloggers will be at the Huber Park stage on Saturday, August 1st, from 2:15 – 3:15 p.m.

The Wild Rose Cloggers are sponsored by the Shakopee Heritage Society.
