About Shakopee Derby Days

Shakopee Derby Days

Shakopee Derby Days has been celebrated annually since 1988. Derby Days is held the first full weekend of August, with the majority of its events held at Huber Park. There are events for all ages, many of which are free or low-cost.

This five-day event, which attracted over 20,000 people in 2011, is organized and run by the Shakopee Derby Days Committee, a volunteer non-profit group dedicated to planning and implementing an annual community festival that brings residents, businesses, and visitors together to celebrate the past, present, and future of Shakopee.

In addition, many volunteers donate their time and talents during the event to make this festival a success.

There are numerous ways to contribute to Shakopee Derby Days. If you would like to join our committee to help plan this event, to volunteer during the event, or to propose a new event, please email Wes Reinke at . If you would like to contribute to the event financially, you may make a tax-deductible donation or sponsorship.
