Shakopee Derby Days 2011 5K Turf Run

Race like a thoroughbred! This 5K starts and finishes on the turf racetrack at Canterbury Park. Runners burst from the horse starting gates and run on the 6"-high grassy turf of the racetrack before continuing along a cross-country style course outside of the track. Runners return to the turf racetrack to finish in front of the grandstand. Post-race refreshments will be available, with awards for top finishers in each age group. Top male and female overall winners will be photographed in the Winner's Circle. Come and experience this fun and unique course!
*In event of heavy rain, runners will not be allowed on the turf racetrack and the course will be re-routed.
Entry Fee
- $20 through July 14, 2011
- $25 July 15 through Noon on August 4, 2011
- $30 Race Day
Make checks payable to: Shakopee Derby Days. All entry fees are non-refundable.
Parking
Area "F" is the nearest to the registration/check-in tables, and the race start and finish.
T-Shirts
All participants registered prior to July 14 will receive a t-shirt on race day. Late registrations (July 15 through August 4, and Race Day) will receive shirts on a first-come, first-served basis. T-shirts will be mailed to any late or day-of registrants that do not receive one at the time of registration/check-in.
Awards
Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers in the following age groups:
- 14 & under
- 15 – 19
- 20 – 29
- 30 – 39
- 40 – 49
- 50 – 59
- 60 & over
