Race Info
The majority of this race is run cross-country style – ON GRASS. Runners will start in the horse starting gate and complete one half-lap on the (6+ inch high) turf horse track of Canterbury Park. Runners will then exit the track via a tunnel and run approximately 2 miles on Canterbury Park grounds before returning via the tunnel to the turf horse track for one half-lap to the finish line in front of the grandstand. In the event of heavy rain, runners will not be allowed on the turf horse track.
Entry Fee/Registration
$15 pre-registration fee (through July 24, 2008, $20 thereafter). Race day registrations accepted from 7:45 to 9 AM at Canterbury Park. All entry fees are non-refundable. Make check payable to: Shakopee Derby Days.

Parking
The nearest parking will be found in area "F".
T-Shirts
T-shirts will be provided on race day for all runners registered by the July, 24 2008 deadline. T-shirts will be mailed to late and race-day registrants.
Awards
Medals will be awarded to male and female first- through third-place finishers in each age group:
- 14 & under
- 15 – 19
- 20 – 29
- 30 – 39
- 40 – 49
- 50 – 59
- 60 & over
Prize(s) will be awarded to the runner(s) sporting the best horse-race/track-related costume(s).
