Rules and Regulations
- Games are played to 15 points by 1's and 2's, or 20 minutes. The first overtime is 1 min. If game is still tied after first overtime, it will go into sudden death overtime.
- All teams must have at least 3 but no more than 4 players registered. All games will start with 3 players on each team. Any number (1 or 2) may complete the game.
- Players listed on the roster are the only players eligible to compete on the team.
- Each team is allowed two 45 second timeouts. These stop play, but the game clock continues to run. Timeouts in the last two minutes, stop the clock.
- Unlimited substitutions, but only after a made basket or when the ball is not in play.
- Before games both teams will warm up at the same time. Games start no later than 5 minutes past the scheduled time.
- 2 adults will be present at each game acting as court monitors. These supervisors will keep score and officiate each game (i.e. call fouls, act as a referee and have the final say in disputes).
- No Stalling – There will be a 30 second shot clock in effect at all times. Failure to shoot in a 30-second period will result in loss of possession.
- NO DUNKING! Dunking at any time, including warm-up period is against the rules. This may result in the disqualification of the individual.
- Jump balls go to the defense.
- A coin flip will start the game.
- After fouls or ball out-of-bounds, the ball will be taken at half court.
- All baskets count as one point except for shots made from behind the three-point line, these baskets will count as two points. Both feet must be completely behind the line for the basket to count two points.
- FOULS! No unnecessary roughness. Fouls will be called by the court monitor. Technical fouls will be 2 points and possession of the ball.
- The ball changes possession after the score. The ball must be taken back to beyond the two-point line after a score or after a defensive rebound (rebound is any ball that hits the rim, backboard or net). Ball will be checked after each score. Failure to take the ball back will result in loss of possession and any points scored during that possession.
- Entry fees are non-refundable. We play rain or shine.
- Team captains will be called with game time information a few days before the tournament. Teams must check-in at registration desk 15 minutes prior to their first game.
