Derby Days is Shakopee, Minnesota's summer festival, held the first full weekend in August. The celebration begins Wednesday morning with the Senior Olympics and culminates on Sunday with a parade. Most of the events take place in historic downtown Shakopee's Huber Park.
The Shakopee Derby Days Committee is hard at work planning for Derby Days 2009, which will be held from Wednesday, July 29th through Sunday, August 2nd. As details and events are confirmed, we will be posting them to the Web site. Please continue to check back for the latest updates.

- The Czech Area Concertina Club Concert returns to Derby Days on Saturday, August 1st.
- The Faithfest Band will be playing at Derby Days on Saturday, August 1st.
- The Minnesota Valley Rally Car Show will be held on Friday, July 31st.
- Entries are now being accepted for the 2009 Derby Days Most Inviting Landscape Contest.
- The Miss Shakopee Scholarship Program's Shakopee Royalty Coronation is on Saturday, August 1st, at the Shakopee Junior High School.

- Clog dancing by The Wild Rose Cloggers will take place at the 2009 Derby Days on Saturday, August 1st.
- Classic swingin' 13-piece big band with vocalist, The Grand Band with Chad Magnuson, to play at Derby Days on Thursday, July 30th.
- Registrations are now being accepted for the Shakopee Derby Days Sand Volleyball Tournament, which will be held on Saturday, August 1st at 9 a.m. Only 18 spots are open and will fill fast!

- The Teen Dance will be held on Thursday, July 30th.
- Davina and the Vagabonds will be performing at Shakopee Derby Days on Friday, July 31st.
