Derby Days is Shakopee, Minnesota's five-day summer festival, held the first full weekend in August. The celebration begins Wednesday morning with the Senior Olympics and culminates on Sunday with a parade. Most events take place in historic downtown Shakopee's Huber Park.
The 24th annual Shakopee Derby Days will be held on Wednesday, August 4 through Sunday, August 8, 2010. Most events will again held at Huber Park in historic downtown Shakopee.
What's New This Year?
- Cash Bingo in Huber Park on Friday, August 6 (4 – 10 p.m.) and Saturday, August 7 (10 a.m. – fireworks start time).
- Movie in the Park (Monsters vs. Aliens) on Wednesday, August 4 at dusk, after the Community Picnic.
- The Kiddie Parade will be held inside of the park this year. Line-up is at 9:30 a.m. and the parade begins at 10 a.m. The parade starts at the Family Fun Park, will go down the bike trail through Huber Park, around the amphitheatre, and end at the support building/restrooms.
- Shakopee Fast Money Auction held at the Shakopee Auction Center on Saturday, August 7 (10 a.m.).
- Pony rides in the Family Fun Park on Saturday, August 7 from 1 – 4 p.m.
- Diaper Derby/Toddler Trot on Saturday, August 7 at 11 a.m.
